Westside Aesthetics is excited to introduce ThermiTight®, a non-surgical, minimally invasive, targeted skin tightening treatment for sub dermal tissue remodeling of the face, jowls, chin, knees, arms and abdomen. Skin tightening and smoothing is achieved with ThermiTight® by using radio frequency energy to stimulate collagen production beneath the skin. When heated to a high enough temperature, the targeted inner layers of skin begin to produce new collagen, in turn improving texture and tone. As the skin produces new collagen, sagging and laxity are greatly reduced. Over time, the skin starts to smooth out lines and creases from the forehead, around the eyes, neck, jowls, tummy, arms, back, thighs and knees.
What can you expect from ThermiTight®?
- No surgery required
- Minimal downtime
- Minimal risk of injury
- Safe for all skin types
- Single Treatment Solution
- Little to No Downtime
- Quick, Easy Procedure
What happens in a ThermiTight® treatment
The treated area is first injected with a small amount of anesthetic solution. Dr. Rivkin then applies a controlled amount of thermal energy to the targeted tissue with a tiny thermistor probe, called a SmartTip™, which is inserted just below the skin’s surface via a needle. The instrument is used to gently heat specific tissues to a pre-determined therapeutic temperature and, in doing so, simultaneously tightens and smoothes the skin while reducing small pockets of fat. Treatment areas include the face, jowls, neck, tummy, arms, and back — essentially any area where you’re concerned about the appearance of loose skin. The doctor uses Thermal Image Guidance™ to monitor external temperatures and ensure the safety of the skin. Typically most procedures take under an hour, however session time depends on the size of the treatment area. Mild swelling is normal and will diminish a few days after the procedure. After the treatment, a gentle wrap is applied and normal activities are resumed the next day.
Can ThermiTight® get too hot?
The SmartTip™probe provides constant feedback of the actual temperature during treatment. In addition, an infrared camera is used to monitor skin temperature to ensure that your treatment is both safe and effective.
How long do results from ThermiTight® last?
Improvement in lifting and tightening seen after ThermiTight® can last up to two years or more, however it is not permanent. The aging process will naturally continue and additional treatments may be required every few years, depending on the individual.
Are there side effects associated with ThermiTight®?
Following your ThermiTight® treatment, some mild swelling can be expected and may last for anywhere between 3 and 10 days. Bruising from the needles used is always possible. We do everything we can to be gentle and avoid bruising, but if it happens the bruise is usually quite small. Patients may experience mild discomfort the day after the treatment. If this happens, it lasts for a day or less. Transient numbness in the treated areas has been reported and will resolve itself during the healing process. This side effect is very rare.
How many ThermiTight® treatments until I see results?
Unlike many other treatments, ThermiTight® requires only one treatment, performed in the office under local anesthesia. It can take anywhere from 30 minutes and upwards, depending on the treatment area and patients are usually you are ready to go to work the following day with little to no bruising present. The first results can be seen anywhere between three and six months post treatment and skin tightening will continue through 18 months.
Are you a candidate for ThermiTight®?
To find out if ThermiTight® is right for you, a consultation with Dr. Rivkin will be necessary. During this time the doctor will examine your area(s) of concern and answer any questions you may have. Your medical history will be reviewed, as certain conditions may exclude one’s candidacy.
